  5. Rigid prism stabilized lenses are 
  6. manufactured with the cylinder 
  7. generated on the front surface.

  10. Prism ballasted lenses may be 
  11. truncated, that is a portion of the 
  12. edge is removed giving a 'flat' side 
  13. to the lens.  This, in addition to the 
  14. prism, helps maintain rotational 
  15. stabilization of the lens.
